Since 1932, United Way of Androscoggin County has been a trusted partner in creating meaningful, positive change for thousands of people across our communities. From the very beginning, we have been about the powerful difference that happens when people come together with a shared purpose: to help neighbors in need, strengthen families, and build brighter futures.
With your support—through targeted investments, innovative initiatives, and strong local partnerships—United Way has consistently delivered results that no one organization could accomplish alone.
In 2018, our mission grew as we expanded into Oxford County, allowing us to serve even more individuals, families, and agencies with compassion and impact.
Now, in 2025, we are proud to take the next step forward. United Way of Androscoggin County has joined with United Way of the Tri-Valley Area to form United Way of Western Maine, serving the people of Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford Counties.
By aligning resources and streamlining operations, United Way of Western Maine will be better positioned to:
-
Raise additional funds to support critical programs and services
-
Increase operational efficiency, ensuring every dollar works harder
-
Direct more resources toward helping people and strengthening communities
This new chapter means a stronger, more unified approach to tackling the challenges facing Western Maine. Together, we can do more, reach more, and change more lives than ever before.
