Come One Come All to learn about area Volunteer Opportunities  LEWISTON, MAINE (September 28, 2015) United Way of Androscoggin County, in conjunction with the Androscoggin Volunteer Administrators, announce its Volunteer Fair taking place on Thursday, October 15. The public is welcome to visit and talk with local agencies in regards to volunteer opportunities and initiatives in our areas. In partnership with the Maine Department of Education and the USDA, United Way of Androscoggin County announces the 2015 Summer Meals program.Summer Meals provides free, healthy meals to kids, 18 and under, giving them the fuel they need to play, grow, and return to school ready to learn. Summer Meals sponsors, typically local school districts or nonprofits, make the meals and serve them at various sites, such as schools, parks, churches, and housing complexes.
