United Way Hosts Inaugural Run Like Hell 5K Fun Run & Costume Party

Zombies, Tinpanic Steel Band, Time Machine Cover Band and Halloween 5k Fun Run coming to Lewiston 

LEWISTON, MAINE (October 1, 2014) United Way of Androscoggin County is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its Inaugural Run Like Hell 5K Fun Run & Costume Party on Friday, October 24, 2014. The event will be kicked off by the Tinpanic Steel Band at 5:30pm with the 5K Fun Run starting at 6:30pm.Time Machine cover Band playing inside the Heritage Hall of the Franco American Heritage Center where a Costume Party will be held immediately following the run for the event participants and community. Actors from the acclaimed movie “How to Kill a Zombie” will be at the event participating with the attendees at various points along the Lewiston/Auburn 5k route.

Registration is available online at www.unitedwayandro.org/RunLikeHellME and participants have the option of paying $5 per person to attend the Costume Party or pay $25 per participant for the 5k Fun Run including a ticket to Costume Party and an event race shirt. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes as there will be awards and prizes for Best Dressed and Most Creative.
