Merriam-Webster dictionary defines Advocate this way: One that pleads the cause of another or supports the interests of another.

At the United Way of Androscoggin County it is our pleasure, duty, and mission to  Advocate for the residents 

of Androscoggin County.   With your help, our voice grows stronger, and louder.  If your passion is Education,

ensuring Financial Stability, Health or Meeting Basic Needs, you can help inspire others and create change.

Advocate by contacting elected officials, writing a letter to the editor, or wear the shirt and be visable.

Anyone can champion the cause.  Whether you're speaking out to improve education, income and health, reaching
out to members of the Maine State Legislature and United States Congress, or wearing the LIVE UNITED
shirt to show your support, you can help inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow.  So go ahead
and advocate in a LIVE UNITED world.  Do it in public.  Be visible.  Be loud.
