TOPS

The Opportunity to Shine (TOPS) is a collaborative project between the Libra Foundation and United Way of Androscoggin County. For Lewiston public school students the program provides up to $400 for third graders, $800 for fourth graders and up to $1,000 in scholarships to fifth and sixth graders to attend a TOPS Summer camp of their choice.

TOPS helps children unlock their potential and discover the world, while developing their self-esteem and social skills. In addition, TOPS introduces many children to summer camp for the first time, without labeling them by social, economic, or ethnic background.

Over the years, TOPS has sent thousands of children to a broad range of summer camps that help them build important skills, gain self-confidence and independence and grow as individuals.
