2006 Campaign On Track to Set Record
At the Campaign Celebration held November 16, Campaign Chair Jeff Gosselin announced our United Way campaign had reached 80 percent of its goal of $1,800,000 and (with the community’s help) could meet or exceed the target and set a record for funds raised by United Way of Androscoggin County.
This year the campaign adopted some new strategies to bring additional corporations and donors on board and held an incentive drawing for individual donors. During the Campaign Celebration Dan Martin of Central Distributors was awarded 100 gallons of home heating oil from Heutz Oil Company, Alan Hill of W. D. Matthews won a kayak from L.L. Bean and Robert Chapman of Lee Auto Mall won an all-inclusive trip for two to Cancun from Dube, Wagonlit Travel.
