United We Dine

Dine Out for United Way on Thursday, November 8
On Thursday, November 8 United Way of Androscoggin County will host the first annual “United We Dine” fundraising event to allow area restaurants to participate in the United Way campaign. Participating local restaurants will make a one-time donation or donate a percentage of their November 8 sales to the United Way annual campaign. 

The following local restaurants will be participating: Dore’s Café and Market, Espo’s Trattoria, Fastbreaks, Fishbones, Gridiron, Little Dan's BBQ & Grill, Mac's Grill, Patrick's, Rolandeau's Restaurant, Ruby Tuesday, Subway, Youly's Family Restaurant.

Additional restaurants are encouraged to participate by contacting Adam Caron at acaron@unitedwayandro.org or 795-4000. All proceeds benefit United Way’s campaign and the organization’s effort to make a positive impact in Androscoggin County. Please eat out to help out on November 8!

This is a very busy time of year for United Way of Androscoggin County with the annual community fundraising campaign nearing completion. Here are just a few of the many highlights....

Join United Way for Campaign Celebration: 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 15
Comedian Mike MiclonOn Thursday, November 15 from 5-8 p.m., join United Way of AndroscogginCounty at Martindale Country Club to celebrate the community’s support of the 2007 campaign. The event will feature the inventive and fun physical comedy of Mike Miclon from the famed Oddfellow Theater in Buckfield, Maine.

In addition to the entertainment, the Campaign Celebration will include dinner, raffle prizes, awards ceremony and announcement of campaign incentive winners. Price for the event is $25.

November Update: United Way Campaign Gathering Momentum

This year United Way aims to raise $1.9 million to be spent here in Androscoggin County on local programs that improve the lives of children and families, senior citizens and those needing help to achieve self-sufficiency. To date, the campaign has reached 45 percent of the community goal.
